The Grand Siècle also blazed in Provence and the Comtat Venaissin, home to a Baroque biotope mixed with Classicism. And in this land of Protestant upheaval, before the absolutist dragonnades, the Catholic reconquest protected a myriad of artists destined to keep consciences in the bosom of the Faith.
