Transcending boundaries, defying convention, challenging certainties: this is the challenge posed to painting that the Paul-Valéry Museum in Sète highlights by dedicating a retrospective to Daniel Dezeuze's last twenty-five years of work. A founding figure of the Supports/Surfaces movement in the 1970s, he was already defying conventions by deconstructing traditional forms of art. Since then, he has continued to experiment and reinvent pictorial creation.
