Expected to open in October 2025, the exhibition L'Empire du Sommeil (The Empire of Sleep) is currently being prepared by the Musée Marmottan Monet in Paris. The exhibition proposes to explore ‘the symbolic and allegorical significance of sleep, its importance in secular and sacred iconography’, and the role played by scientific and philosophical research in the many artistic representations of this subject.
