The exhibition

"In this exhibition, the gaze is a battlefield. And the position from which we look can be a form of complicity or resistance." Often described as the enfant terrible of the art world, Maurizio Cattelan has been invited by the Centre Pompidou-Metz for its fifteenth anniversary, to work from the collection of the Musée National d'Art Moderne, in dialogue with his works, in a retrospective perspective. Conceived as a dialectic between freedom and constraint, memory and projection, wandering and commitment, the project Un dimanche sans fin does not ignore the provocative dimension of the artist, who offers here an immersion in the museum in an unconventional spirit.
