The only female artist of the Italian Arte Povera movement, Marisa Merz (1926-2019) challenged the codes of traditional art throughout the 20th century. You can discover her work in the Écouter l'espace exhibition at Lille's Musée LaM, the first retrospective devoted to the artist in over 30 years, which combines archives and some one hundred previously unseen pieces.
