The My Best series comprises twenty-six boards, from A to Z; wooden planks that run around the gallery like segments of a continuous horizontal line. The first are very pure, revealing the wooden support. The climax, with the letter J, is much more structured and geometrically composed, while the last ones seem to have been painted all together, with spray-painted interventions, and play with a baroque overload. Tuttle uses every possible means to create a painting, using all kinds of materials. Plastics, paper, colored electrical wires, pipe cleaners... all contribute to the DIY aesthetic of the fragile, precarious model.
