Director of the Musée du Grand Rodez, of which the Musée Soulages is a part, Benoît Decron has also curated numerous exhibitions, notably at the Musée de l'abbaye Sainte-Croix in Les Sables d'Olonne, where he remained chief curator from 1997 to 2009. Since the opening of the Soulages Museum in 2014, he has curated many important exhibitions, including a retrospective of Soto in 2015, "Le Corbusier, L'Atelier de la recherche patiente, un métier" in 2018 or "Gutai, l'espace et le temps" in 2018.
