Poet and essayist, Jacques Darras was a teacher and then dean of the Jules Verne University of Picardy. Founder of the international poetry magazine In'hui in 1978, he has published numerous collections of poetry, including the set La Maye, poem in 8 songs published between 1988 and 2012. In 2004, he received the Apollinaire prize followed by the French Academy prize for his entire work in 2006.
