After having painted an anonymous world of droll and active figures, Gaël Davrinche chose to attack artistically identified models. More precisely, the figures of court ladies and young girls painted by Velázquez. Without losing any of his fantasy or his jubilation at work, he has never stopped using them to transpose them onto paper or canvas in a child's drawing style.
