Anna Stein was born in Budapest (Hungary) in 1936. She studied at the School of Fine Arts in Budapest from 1954 to 1956. For political reasons, she went into exile in France in 1956 where she studied at the School of Fine Arts in Paris from 1957 to 1962, where she was a student of Jean SOUVERBIE and Jean AUJAME.
