Often dark landscapes, at nightfall, overgrown with vegetation, isolated figures, often seen from behind, emerging in the luminous halo of a "pursuit" that focuses their mute and suspended presence, the sketches that Pierre Seinturier invents for himself offer themselves to be seen as freeze-frames of a narrative without thread. They cultivate the anonymous and the incongruous without providing any particular clue that would connect them to a precise story. Drawing and painting gain in mystery and timelessness in a subtle mixture that at once confuses, worries and fascinates.
