The ink that soaks the pages of The Black Panther weekly has not lost its intensity and reveals a drawing that is as exciting as its subject matter remains relevant, more than half a century after its publication. Emory Douglas was the editor of the eponymous political movement from its inception in 1967 until the movement's dissolution. For more than a decade, he put his art at the service of his cause, putting the entire publication into images.
