"I always try to imagine a situation that allows me to make a completely new photograph. What is important to me goes far beyond the single shot. It is the whole chain that interests me, the one that questions the nature and the status of photography, from the first thought of an image to its materialization in a final print. It is true that there is always something fake in my photos, something fabricated, which determines my work between photogram and photograph. I like to invent new processes by operating either by projection, or by superposition, or by introducing foreign bodies, etc., so as to constitute an image as original as possible but which always remains in relation to the photograph."
