The choice of works and artists for this 2024 art season at the Domaine de Chaumont-sur-Loire combines the eclecticism of practices and the plasticity of the works with a scenography that is always happy in its arrangements. In fact, although tenants of the premises only for a time, these works inhabit the different spaces of the estate in the most natural way, and the dialogue between the two proves to be most fruitful. Whether for the landscapes of Vincent Bioulès responding to those of the surrounding Loire Valley through the windows of the castle, or the placement of sculptures by Prune Nourry under the shade of a grove of pine trees in the park, the conversation that took place established between these achievements and their environment gives the sensation of a lifelong proximity. This year we find all the talent of Chantal Colleu-Dumond, who manages to weave the link between art and nature, defending the artistic line of the Domaine de Chaumont, and which here is carried out in a subtle and never supported way, thus allowing everyone to appreciate its content, both for visitors concerned about ecology and for those looking for pure aesthetic feeling.
