The exhibition
A master of secret and secreted materials, Lionel Sabatté has masterfully occupied the inside and outside of Chambord, both inside the château and on its vast estate. His summer exhibition Pollens clandestins is a splendour.
Lionel Sabatté's multi-faceted use of living waste materials is a constant. Natural corrosion is his business. The dust of the place, the timeless rust, the fertilising pollen of the day, all suit him perfectly... In all, some 150 pieces, sculptures of all sizes, drawings sub- tils and paintings more than astonishing, where the animal presence, latent, floating and cosmic, calls out.
