From the small constructions that she photographs and retouches before transposing them onto the canvas to the final painting, there is an operation of virtualisation leading to an image that, although fake and remaining fake for the viewer, continues to seem real, retains something of this semblance. His sculptures are of a different nature. They appear as three-dimensional projections of his paintings - which, it should be remembered, are themselves representations of existing volumes - but they do not possess this ambience. They remain irremediably artificial and are more like the back of a theatre set where we see the machinery, the racks, the various construction elements.
