The exhibition

Berlinde De Bruyckere, wax, death and skin

At the 2003 Venice Biennale, the bruised presence of her dying black horse immediately raised the question of a continuum between life and death, which characterizes the work of Berlinde De Bruyckere. Similarly, her participation ten years later in the exhibition Les Papesses at the Palais des Papes in Avignon left a lasting impression on its visitors. For the first French retrospective of the Ghent artist, the MO.CO. is bringing together a group of fifty of her works dating from 1999 to 2022.
