“Close to my beginnings of Pop Art, influenced by advertising, cinema, photography, my works are essentially about the human body and the objects of everyday life. But at the end of the sixties, the automobile, symbol par excellence of the consumer society, became the central theme of my work. I start painting car details (bumpers, wheels), then almost exclusively tires and tire tracks. […] They evolve towards an art stripped of any anecdote, abstract, geometric, monumental, where I arrange these geometric shapes with sharp angles and bright colors laid in flat areas, affirming the primacy of a single reality: painting. »
