Discreet, secretive, anchored in her senses, Chiharu Shiota reveals very little of the secrets that guide her along the paths of creation. When asked about the circumstances that led her to art, she answers the question with a tangent and you won't get much more out of her: "I have frequent insomnia and, during these, I think a lot. I'm like a child who is afraid of not going back to sleep. Of not waking up again? This worry inhabits me recurrently."
